Hinkel: We're so good to watch

Anyone watching Celtic being gubbed at home by the huns back in August wouldn't have imagined we'd have been able to claw back the three points difference to lead the table by four points at this stage in the proceedings. Yet here we are halfway through November sitting proudly on top again and looking like a team who want to retain their title.

On the other hand it looks like Rangers flattered to deceive and like most of the other wee diddy teams in the country they only raise their game when they play the big bhoys. They've reverted to type lately and started dropping points against the other wee diddy teams while the champions just keep rolling along.

Cillian Sheridan scored two goals in the 3-0 win over a very subdued looking Kilmarnock at Celtic Park last night, the other being a wonderful Nakamura strike, and the young Irishman continues to impress his manager "He was terrific," said Strachan. "It is terrific the way he runs about the place as is his enthusiasm. He held on to the ball, he won headers, he scored goals and we couldn't have asked for more from him. It was a terrific performance. We have realised he is quite an intelligent lad and he takes things in. We were worried about putting him in too early because he has not played a lot of football, but it has worked out all right for him."

Andreas Hinkel was also impressed by the quality of Sheridan and the other bhoys who have stepped up during this trying time for the squad "Against Kilmarnock, Massimo Donati came in and played very well. We've a lot of players still to come back, and when we do the manager will have even more options. Mark Brown has also done well. It's not been easy for him but he's trained well and we have confidence in him." he said

"It's good to be ahead, but there is only one third of the season played so we have to maintain our play and confidence."he continued "We have to concentrate on our next game to make sure we play the way we did against Kilmarnock. Last season we had a good run at the end, but we played a different way because now we keep the ball and can play long balls, short balls and it is good to watch. This is important because November is a tough month for us, with six league games and the two Champions League matches, plus the internationals for many of our players."

The in-form Celtic defender is hoping that he's made the German national squad for their game next week "I don't know if I'm in the German squad for the game against England but I expect to hear today or tomorrow. The coach has told me that they have been watching me, and that I'm in their minds."
