Hartley and Jan Given the Spanish Archer!

Last updated : 02 July 2009 By Clydebuilt
The clear out has begun in earnest at Celtic Park after it was confirmed today that Paul Hartley and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink are free to find themselves new clubs after the axe was wielded by new manager Tony "The Executor" Mowbray.

Mowbray revealed that he had a discussion with Hartley in which he was told that he was not in the managers plans. Meanwhile Jan seemed to be aware of his own fate and has left to seek new employment.

"I had a good long conversation with Paul. He came in to see me.

"The outcome of that is Paul won't be offered a new contract. He is free to look for other employment.

"I have had no contact with Jan. Jan is out of contract - he is free to seek other employment and I'm pretty sure that's what he will be doing."

Two down, a few more to go?

Yours in Celtic
