Glesga Polis says dont go to Milan

Well not exactly the "Glesga Polis" but Strathclyde Police have issued a warning to Celtic fans travelling to Milan without official club tickets,

Fans attempting to gain access to ground via any entrance other than those allocated to the away fans will be asked to produce photographic evidence to prove their identity and ONLY those identified as Italian will be allowed entry.

Strathclyde Police's chief superintendent Kenny Scott said that acceptable ID may have to include proof of nationality.

"Despite information from travel agents who have supplied tickets for other areas of the stadium it is our clear understanding that checks will take place and entry will be refused as stated.

"Our advice is that people with tickets for anywhere other than the official areas should not attempt to attend the game"

Staff from ticket agencies who have sold tickets to the away support will be on hand to help ease access into the ground and in the past the San Siro has just opened the doors to let fans in. Celtic fans are discussing the best way to gain entry and are split between going early and possibly being identified easily or going late and trying to get in with the crowd.
