EXCLUSIVE...A total work of fiction

Well well what have we here? A wee fictitious story about a football club, Its New manager and the clubs governing body. We have the full story but have decided to condense it for you.

for legal reasons we must add that this story bears no resemblance to any persons living or dead or any real organisation or club and is for entertainment purposes only.

FAS Hello Ms Secretary. Could I please speak to Sir Billy Mint your managing director?

SECRETARY. Certainly who shall I say is calling

FAS Its the Football Association of Scotland..

SBM (Sir Billy Mint) Hello Hello and how are you today? Our new manager sends his best wishes and says GIRUY.

FAS Hello there. Are you going to pay us compensation for Tapping our ex manager and signing him to manage your totally fictitious non nazi club?

SBM Get knotted ya weak minded wishy washy bunch of nobodies..

FAS Oh ok. Just one thing though, do you know that its not the SPL who put teams into the Uefa competitions but it is in fact ourseves that put forward the names of the clubs that we wish to partake in the Champions league and Uefa cup?

SBM what has that got to do with anything?. We are always second so we get a place anyway.

FAS Actually matey boy thats not true. THE FAS can put anyone they wish into the Euro competitions and technically we can put forward the ninth and tenth placed clubs if we like. We do always put the first two teams through as a matter of course but thats not a rule as the FAS get invited by uefa to put Two teams in (any two teams)

SBM Errr Ahm not quite getting the drift..

FAS well basically Sir Billy Mint. If you don't pay us a lot of Lolly we are NOT going to put your clubs name forward for a place in any Euro competition next year no matter what position you come in. If you have an unresolved dispute with us we will refuse to give Uefa your names for the competition and we will recommend a replacement

SBM How do you want paid? cash or cheque?

A total work of fiction of course. The truth is though that the governing body of each country can put ANY teams they see fit into the European competitions. As Standard, it is of course the champions and runners up that get the places but this is protocol and NOT a rule.

A team that get up the noses of the national governing body which in our case would be the SFA could indeed find itself in deep trouble if for some reason the SFA got tad irate with them.. spooky huh.
