Enigmatic and insightful Rangers boss excites all during UEFA Cup final.

It was with great excitement that I enjoyed Walter Smith’s insightful and interesting half time analysis during Seville’s victory in the UEFA Cup final at Hampden. NOT!

Resisting the urge to crack even the faintest of smiles and failing to display even the remotest hint of a personality Smith struggled to show that he had a passion even for football. This notion was underlined by the lack of basic tactical awareness in his half time summarising.
One wonders that if they were to immortalise Walter in the form of a Spitting image puppet, would they just adapt the old John Major one?

Rumours that when asked if he wanted peas with his half time pie Walter responded "Peas only, no pie" are unconfirmed at this time!

Its just as well he was alongside Andy Townsend in this role. If he had been paired with one of the more insightful pundits out in TV land then he may have been in trouble.

Still he is still better than Big Ron Atkinson!
