DOUGLAS TEARS A STRIP OFF VOGTS

Celtic goalkeeper missed out on the birth of his baby daughter to be in France for Bertie Vogt's first game in charge. Douglas was promised a part of the game by Scotland Coach Vogts but he remained on the bench throughout the ninety minutes as Scptland were hammered by the World Champions.

Due to a delay at the airport on the way back from the game the players were left hanging around the terminal and Douglas took the opportunity to criticise Vogts for going back on his promise.

It seems the Celtic goalie is fully entitled to complain given that he missed an important personal occasion to comply with Vogts' wishes but was snubbed by the coach during the game.
