Donati Seeks Return to Italy as Artur Admits Interest in Top Club Move.

Celtic Goalkeeper Artur Boruc and midfielder Massimo Donati have both revealed that their futures may lie away from Parkhead. The question however is how soon the departures may take place.

Artur Boruc poked fun at the constant speculation that he is about to move in the summer to AC Milan stating; According to the press, I've already signed for AC Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea - but I'm still in Glasgow.

"I'm still a Celtic player and know nothing about any offers.

"However, as I've said in the past, should an offer arrive from one of the top clubs, I could try it."

Nothing really new to see from Artur in this quote, he has always maintained that should a suitable offer be accepted from one of Europe's top clubs then he would have to try his game at the next level, hopefully we may get another season or two out of him yet.

Another player who is also talking about his future is Massimo Donati. The talented Italian midfielder was unable to maintain his early season form and was eventually dropped by Gordon Strachan in favour of Barry Robson. I don't think that many Celtic fans would be too upset if he were to leave. I would give him another season personally but with such a relatively small transfer fee to recoup we could easily make a profit for the affable player.

It would appear that Sampdoria are front runners to take Donati, with the player commenting ""A return to Sampdoria may appeal," he said. "They have been doing well in the last year.

"But I must say the people in Glasgow have been good to me.

"Certainly, I will return to Italy sooner or later but I must see if it is best to do it quickly or wait."

Yours in Celtic
