Dignity, Turmoil, and disrespect.

Last night the club which Alex McLeish said "had 132 years of unsurpassed dignity" had a night of unsurpassed shame as its supporters once again became the topic of conversation across the globe.

Things got off to a bad start when a minutes applause for Rangers legend Bobby Shearer caused trouble in the stands as many of the supporters refused to applaud because "Thats what the Tims dae". This refusal to commemorate a Rangers great caused friction amongst the crowd which seemed to transfer itself to the team and they ended up Losing by two goals to a motivated St Johnstone side.

Today Rangers supporters are organising car park protests against owner David Murray and have the temerity to compare their protests with that of the "Celts for change" campaign.

The difference of course being that the Celtic fans group protested and pehaps saved the club from going bankrupt and The Rangers "supporters" are protesting merely because their team is rubbish. A very big difference indeed as Celtic supporters are faithful through and through and have always backed the team.

It is sad to see one of the Glasgow giants in turmoil. Scotland needs a strong Rangers for its Euro coefficient. A sad day indeed. The HUGE grin on my face must be for some other reason other than the Gers going into meltdown.

Lets hope they make the split so that any supporters they have left can once again see the Celtic support in our full glory to see what a real support is all about.
