Diego Tristan ..hoops are favourite

Diego Tristan will be leaving Deportiva La Coruna and Celtic are the odds on favourites to sign him. Deportivo have also been approached by Sporting Lisbon and Benfica and until yesterday His club had said that every bid had its merits and the club that tried just a bit harder would win the battle for the player. Celtic manager Gordon Strachan has came under some pressure (unfairly some may say) after his sides performances in their warm up games and it is thought that the signing of Tristan may ease the pressure and give Strachan some more time to get his team into shape.
