Darth Edgar asks the SFA to remove Celtics Home Advantage.

That 'cheeky chappie' and all round likeable rogue (Yeah right) David "Darth" Edgar has called for the next stage of the run-in showdown to be played behind closed doors, claiming that "Celtic cannot guarantee the safety of players."

This is a bold statement from a representative of a support who is not strangers to launching a projectile or two at an opposition player. Yes the Rangers Doctor was struck by a coin in a shameful act by a Celtic supporter, and hopefully the club will find the culprit expediently but why make thousands suffer for the actions of a few Darth?

Maybe you see it as an advantage to negate the effects of the home support on their team.

The Dark Lord continueth; "It appears Celtic are not doing enough to eradicate this sort of irresponsible behavior and it's time the SFA stepped in to clear up the problem which is being tacitly encouraged by lack of punitive action. It is only a matter of time before someone suffers a serious injury and ends up in hospital.

"Given the security lapses and the likelihood of it happening again it would make sense to play the next Old Firm game a week on Sunday behind closed doors. That sort of action would at least send the right messages."

Hmm? And what, pray tell, are Rangers doing about the hundreds of projectiles that were thrown onto the pitch by their supporters? And what of the colour scheme? Yes streamers are harmless, but I don't think that Barry Robson would agree had that fully rolled up one hit him on the head.

I concede that we do have issues David, when will you? Are you allergic to transparency?

Yours in Celtic
