DALGLISH NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS HALL OF FAME SELECTION SHAMBLES

With the memory of the Barnes / Dalglish fiasco still raw in ther minds of many of the Celtic support it seems a bit strange that the club should choose Kenny Dalglish as a nominee for the Celtic Hall of Fame. Fine player though he was, Dalglish treated the club shabbily during his stint back at Celtic Park, and, indeed, resorted to the courts to settle his pay - off dispute.

Dalglish does not deserve this nomination in my opinion. Any goodwill he built up as a player at Celtic Park was ultimately destroyed by his behaviour towards the club in the last days of his reign at Celtic.

This "great celt" has hardly set foot back in Celtic Park since he was sacked at the beginning of the Martin O'Neill era and it seems rather silly that the club should set out to award him.

It will be interesting to see if Dalglish will attend the coming Hall of fame dinner to recognise his nomination. Any snub will make the organisers of the event look very foolish indeed.
