Crosas - Celtic Can Win Away in Villarreal

New Celtic Midfielder Marc Crosas has today urged the team to play to its strengths in order to break the habit of a lifetime and win away from home in the Champions League.

Crosas feels that if the team can play to its potential then Celtic have the power to hurt Villarreal and finally get a result away from home.

"Villarreal have very good players. But I also know we are a very good team and, if we can play as we can, I think we will give them a good game. I hope we can cause them problems. I think we can go over there and win. The score is 0-0 right now and I believe we can beat them. We are a good team and have as good a chance as Villarreal. There are real possibilities to go there and get three points.

"I haven't seen a lot of Villarreal this season; however, we have good points in our team that we can use to hurt them. It's difficult to win away and in the past Celtic have played against very good teams such as Barcelona, Manchester United and Milan. Villarreal know Celtic is a club with a lot of history and they have a lot of respect for us. Our history can make teams fear us."

Crosas has also stated that he has settled well in Scotland and is enjoying the role that he has in the team after starting the last three SPL games and appears to be developing a good understanding with Scott Brown.

"I'm happy with the team-mates I have around me and feel as if I've developed a good relationship with them," he said. "There are still one or two language problems. I wasn't used to speaking English all the time, but I'm working on that. I learnt English when I was at school, but haven't spoken it for a while. I like being a defensive playmaker in the team. This has been a good move for me."

There is a lot of debate regarding how Celtic will shape up in the El Madrigal this evening, and which players will start and who will not. There has been a strong rumour that Celtic will shape up with the expected lone striker in front of a midfield four of Brown, Crosas, Maloney and Nakamura with Paul Hartley playing as a sweeper in front of the back four. One thing that should be taken for granted is that Georgios Samaras will start in the lone striker role. That much is a given.

Yours in Celtic
