CRAINEY READY IF NEEDED

Celtic youngster Stephen Crainey is all set to stand in for Celtic's injured defenders if he should be required to do so. The red haired defender is keen to play but also realises the need for Celtic to filed their strongest side:

“I want our strongest side out there on Sunday,” he commented.

“I genuinely hope Bobo and Joos both make it because they've shown what terrific defenders they are, and I would be happy with a place on the bench.

“But I believe I wouldn't let anyone down if I was called upon, and it goes without saying that I would love to play. I've never played at Ibrox, not even for the youth team, and it would be a dream come true if the manager selects me on Sunday. I'm just like you or any other Celtic fan – I always dreamed about playing in one of these matches… and scoring the winning goal!”

It will be touch and go to see if Balde and Valgaren make it for Sunday and it could be that Crainey will get his wish to play in the biggest club game in the world.
