Civil Disobedience threat By Rangers Supporters Trust

Last updated : 13 March 2007 By Jack Kennedy
The Rangers Supporters trust have asked Strathclyde Police for a meeting to discuss the fact that their support was asked to behave themselves during Yesterdays game at Celtic Park. The RST feel that the Rangers support have been unfairly treated. They have finished their correspondence to Strathclyde police with this message

After the scandal at Parkhead in November 2005 - where the Rangers support was 90 times more likely to be arrested than those in the home end - it is becoming increasingly clear that the Rangers support is being policed in a different fashion to other supports in Scotland. The RST raised its concerns with the Police at that time; however it is apparent that these concerns were not addressed.

" serious thought must be given to an organised campaign of civil disobedience at matches. Whilst this would not be anyone's preferred option, the time has come for the Rangers support to stand up and be treated fairly."

An official fans body threatening Civil disobedience ? A new Low for the Rangers Support but not entitirely a surprise is it. There does not seem to be any mention of the 240 broken seats in Paradise or the sectarian chants by the majority of their support?

Civil disobedience? Just what your average Nazi wants ehhh?

The true colours are showing and they are not those of the union flag but rather those of the Swastika

Cybertims asks all decent people no matter what team they support to join with us in denouncing the RST for threatening Civil disobedience and ensuring that the word "Old Firm" does not appear in connection with this vile announcement and by letting your member of parliament know that The worldwide Celtic family condemn the actions of these so called "supporters"
