Celtic withdraw re-vote request

Celtic today release a statement regarding the situation of when to play Rangers at Ibrox.

The game was orginally scheduled to be played on Sunday April 27th - just 2 days after the team return home from the Boavista second leg, in Portugal.

Celtic's argument was that this date was a major disadvantage towards us, and had requested a re-vote by the SPL clubs, on when the fixture should be played.

Strathclyde Police said yesterday that the fixture was to take place on that day, due to concerns over crowd trouble if it was played at a later date.

Due to this, Celtic have now backed out of the situation, and are now accepting that the game will be played on the originally stated date.

We will now have to get on with it, and shut up the SPL bosses by doing the business on the park.
