With the imminent departure of Stillian Petrov it is thought that Celtic are ready to sign a "well known" player in a £6million scoop.
This news comes after Tommy Burns is quoted in saying "Petrov may have a change of heart". which may spoil Celtic's plans
Celtic Manager Gordon Strachan has been monitoring the player for several months now. Peter Lawwell has already insisted that he will maintain and enhance Gordon Strachan's squad for the defence of of the SPL title next season and has given the backing of the signing providing Petrov is sold for the "right price".
Strachan has previously said that Celtic won't be signing £6million players but if Stillian Petrov leaves he will use the money from that transfer and bring his target in.
