CELTIC SEEK TO AVERT DONS DOUBLE

Last updated : 12 May 2002 By
Celtic head for Pittodrie today, the scene of their only league defeat this season, with a host of established stars either rested or injured.

Henrik Larsson and Johan Mjallby have been given valuable time off to prepare themselves for World Cup action with Sweden and Chris Sutton and Didier Agathe are unavailable through injury, so Celtic boss O'Neill will again look to the young guns to put some sparkle into the last game of the season.

Aberdeen are the only side to beat Celtic in the league this season and they will be keen to make it a double, however Celtic's youngsters have shown that they are more than capable of holding thier own in the SPL and with the likes of Shaun Maloney and Simon Lynch keen to establish themselves in the first team the Dons will still have their work cut out to contain a Celtic side keen to end the season on a winning note.

At the back, John Kennedy will also be given another chance to impress amd there may even be another chance for young Wallaceto impress his Parkhead gaffer.

Celtic have not tasted defeat in the league this year and if Aberdeen are to take anything from this game thay will have to be at their best despite Celtic's weakened side.

Despite Aberdeen's win back in December I can't see them doing it again and I will stick my neck out and say that Finbar's fearless forecast is 3-0 to the bhoys.
