Glasgow Celtic roared on by the greatest fans in the world ran riot yesterday against their biggest rivals and left them trailing seven points behind in the race for the spl title. Two goals by Thomas Graveson and Kenny Miller sealed the points in front of a delirious crowd who turned the game into a party atmosphere.

The quietest Rangers support for many a year tried to lift their team but had no songs to sing that wouldn't get them a fine from uefa and because of this lack of support they let their team down badly. Once Celtic scored their second goal however the away support could not contain themselves any longer and a series of vile sectarian songs ensued which have been reported to Uefa by the worldwide Tv audience.

Celtic controlled the game and looked a class above Paul Le Guen's lumbering team and thoroughly deserved the win. Rangers however had a twenty minute spell at the start of the second half where they controlled the midfield and looked a very good team indeed but a tactical switch from Strachan brought on Evander Sno to break up the Rangers midfield and this brought an instant result , Celtic regained control of the game.

Pubs near Glasgow cross were attacked by the hurting Rangers support and The Merchant city festival was spoiled by Rangers fans rampaging through Candleriggs and attacking tourists and indeed their own supporters. Thankfully this was brought under control quickly by police and stewards but not before the damage had been done to Glasgow.

Stallholders at the merchant city festival had been told to pray for a Rangers win because Celtic fans could take a defeat without rioting but the Celts proved too strong for a Rangers team whose support are already talking about looking for a new manager.
