Celtic renew Naysmith interest

Celtic have renewed their interest in Naysmith after scouring the market for a new left back. Naysmith was dropped from Celtic's plans a few weeks ago but over the weekend Celtic seem to have revived their interest in the Everton player. Everton are happy to let the player go and this will save them a reputed £20,000 a week on wages.

Naysmith seems to be the only left back available that may be able to be squeezed into celtic's price range and it is thought that Celtic could secure his services for £750,000

It is thought that the renewed interest in Naysmith was partly to put pressure on Kadlec's agents to re-open negotiations which have stalled and although the Kadlec deal has been reported in the press to be dead Celtic have not yet confirmed this and Kadlec is still very much to the forefront of Celtic's signing plans. Naysmith will still be a target even if Kadlec does come to Paradise as manager Strachan is looking for someone who can fill the left back position comfortably and not someone who can just play there if required.
