Celtic HAVE offered Hibernian the sum of £150,000 for the release of Derek Riordan and the Edinburgh club are expected to release the players registration within the next 48 hours.

The Glasgow club is desperate to get Riordan on its pre-season trip to America in July and they feel that the player would have needed at least another Six weeks training to get match fit should he have to wait till January before joining the club. Celtic are also mindful nowadays of the every players state of mind and they would rather have Derek Riordan fit and happy at Parkhead rather than watching him stay at Hibs and being involved in a legal wrangle with Uefa which you can read about in our related articles.
