Celtic have moved up a gear in their bid to bring Ian Harte to Glasgow. Harte's agent had a deal with Aston Villa in the pipelin but Villa are in turmoil at the moment with political infighting over the managers position and Harte has expressed concerns over a move to the EPL team and has let it be known that a switch to his boyhood heroes in Glasgow would be preferred.

Celtic have been in talks with Harte and today have consolidated their plans to bring the player from Levante and Harte is expected to be a Celtic player next season. A close friend of Harte who lives in Edinburgh has said that she received news from the player that she would be seeing a lot more of him next season as he would be living within driving distance.

Celtic fans have mixed feelings about the player who would fill the much needed left back position but one thing is for sure, Harte will play for the jersey, he has never been slow in letting people know that he has always been a hoops fan and thats certainly a good start in anyones book.
