O'NEILL EYES CAMEROON WORLD CUP STAR

Celtic and Martin O'Neill's search for the player to replace
Lubo Moravcik has taken them as far as the African continent
and Cameroon in particular.

Folo Rapil, currently starring for the Cameroon national side and heading
for this year's world cup, is said to be interesting Celtic so much that O'Neill
has had the player watched at least seven times and is now on the verge of
signing the talented midfielder.

Rapil, who plays for little known South African club Mbowan Star is said to
be keen to join up at Celtic park and our understanding is that detailed
contract talks have already taken place.

If Rapil were to join up at Celtic Park he would be the first African to
play for the club. There would certainly be no problems with visas as Rapil has
played in every International game for Cameroon in the past two years and
is his country's top scorer with 15 goals.

No one from celtic Park was available for comment over the weekend but we
understand that Martin O'Neill is out of the country at the moment but his
actual whereabouts are unknown
