Celtic Aware of Sol campbells availability

Celtic have been aware of Sol Campbell's availabilty for some days and have been looking with interest at the player. Celtic would need to break the bank to get the Arsenal Centre back but with an improved offer for Petrov and the Kadlec deal not yet signed Campbell would be seen as the answer to manager Strachans prayers and may also be the £6 million pound player that Celtic are looking for. In Campbells Case the money would be going towards his wage bill and he would no doubt be a player who could help progress Celtic's Champions league hopes. Campbell has said over the past 6 months that he would like to play abroad in a warmer climate but has said this week that he would still consider a British club if the circumstances were right. The circumstances are that he would consider a move to be a well known club with big crowds and champions league exposure.


Arsene Wenger has wished the player well in his hunt for a new club and a fresh challenge.
