With all the stories and rumours appearing in the tabloids and news this week regarding Celtic's potential signing, Juninho, it is hard to see what is the truth and what is simply fantasy.

Juninho was at Celtic Park today and remained tight-lipped on goings on. It was rumoured that he has passed a medical and was today sorting out personal terms.

Come On The Hoops asked Middlesbrough fan Les Holmes, site editor of www.mfc1986.co.uk for his opinions on the whole affair.

Les claims that he would not be happy if Juninho left Middlesbrough, as he has said in the past Boro are the club he loves, and he has recently vowed to stay at the club and fight for a first team place. With Boro pushing for a European spot this year, it has been thought Juninho wants to be part of it.

Les also voiced his anger at manager Steve McClaren. He said, "McClaren is forcing him out. Firstly, by sending him off to effectively reserve team friendlies. Then not even putting him on the bench v Geordies. I guess McClaren's ego cannot stand having someone bigger than him at the club."

Juninho's exclusion from Saturday's squad is a massive indication that he will not be part of McLaren's plans for the season. We all know of the Brazillian's talents, and Les confirmed this, saying, "Juninho always gives 100% and gets points for us with his creativity. He was joint top goalscorer last season and was fans' favourite by a mile."

So the view from the Riverside is that Juninho will be a big loss to the club, and he would benefit Celtic in a massive way. Let's hope Les' fears are confirmed and all went well at Celtic Park today.
