Are we loving it?

I hope that by using a phonetic copy of the McDonalds Slogan we do not incur the wrath of the 'restaurant' giant's legal team! I also hope that stories of Celtics imminent signing of Motherwell's antipodean striker have less sustenance than a Big Mac!

Never before has a signing target caused so much of a shock horror moment for Celtic fans, well not since we signed Paul Hartley anyway!
Is Strachan on a one man crusade to promote peace in Scotland by signing every hate figure we have?
Now that we have Miller, Pressley, Hartley and now potentially McDonald and maybe even Scott Brown just whom outwith Satan's eleven are we to vent our spleen at?

Before we go any further we should maybe consider WGS's recruits over his 2-year tenure. To keep it simple we will award each with a Hit, Miss or Not Sure

Boruc - Hit
Wilson - Hit
Pressley - Hit
Naylor - Hit
Caldwell -Not sure
Doumbe-Not sure
Gravesen - Not Sure
Jarosik - Miss
Miller - Miss (intended lol)
JVH - Hit
Naka - Hit
Brown - Not sure
Hartley-Not Sure-looks good though
Magic - Not sure
Sno-Hit
Riordan-Hit (well should be)

With eight hits out of 16, and only 2 misses, Strachan's record in the transfer market is not too bad (Glass is always half full in my house). So on this basis maybe he should be trusted to continue on signing who he wants?

So what about MrMcDonald? With 38 goals in 108 starts only time will tell if he will bring anything to our squad. My opinion? I will wait and see how he plays in the Hoops prior to making any judgement and I would urge Timdom to do the same. There are many among us still smarting when reminded about comments such as "That Dreadlocked bloke cannae even get a game fur feyenoord" or "That wee Naylor one was Camara's understudy FFS" so why not exercise caution?

For those not prepared, you can vent your spleen in our message board!

One final word though. Whilst it isn't a reason to sign him in its own right, imagine the look on the faces of the Scott McDonald Loyal right now! Ha Ha

Yours in Celtic
