Are Celtic too Nice to win ?

Do good guys come last? Show me a good loser and i'll show you a LOSER. Does playing good attractive attacking football and having a sense of fair play and pride handicap us in our quest for champions league Glory?.

Watching the games in this years world cup has got me thinking that Celtic might just be too nice to be winners, It seems to be the diving cheating and downright dirty teams that are doing well. Portugal in Particular have been guilty of time wasting and trying to get opposing player booked or sent off and this type of attitude goes right through to their club teams. We all know how Porto behaved under Mourinho and even Chelsea look to be doing the same. Last night we witnessed Thierry Henri falling to the ground holding his face and gaining a free kick which led to a goal, TV cameras proved without a doubt that he was faking an injury and when when one of the worlds most respected role models does this to tarnish his reputation we need to ask if it is worth it and is it becoming normal for players to do this?.

So where do Celtic fit in?. In my opinion we can never play this way, we have a pride in the hoops that will never let us stoop to this type of behaviour and we will continue to play football the Celtic way. Pure beautiful inventive football. Does this mean we are leaving ourselves at a disadvantage?. Should we get with the programme and do everything we can to get players booked and sent off?. Is it time we forgot our pride and our history and do whatever it takes to be winners?. Thats what the other European teams are doing.

On the other hand we might just be the club version of Brazil ;)
