Another Injury Update

Martin O'Neill today took a swipe at Livingston's tactics yesterday, as several Celtic players picked up injuries during our 4-2 win.

Henri Camara, Stephen McManus and Stanislav Varga were all substituted, while several other players were forced to play on while carrying knocks. After the game, it was unknown how serious the injuries were, but we feared the worst.

Today, though, we were given news to keep us reasonably happy. Things look better today than they did this time yesterday.

The most worrying of the injured Bhoys appeared to be Stephen McManus, who was bundled into an advertising board during the first half of yesterday's game. While it was feared the youngster would be on the sidelines for a long period, but we are told he should resume full training next week.

A decision will be made on Camara, who was blatantly kicked by Livingston player Dorado, tomorrow. It is unknown whether or not he will take part in Wednesday's Celtic Park clash against Aberdeen, but fingers crossed, as he has been outstanding in recent games.

Stan Varga complained at half time about a tight feeling in his hamstring. Maybe this explains his poor passing. He should be alright for Wednesday's game.

Tonight I make a sigh of relief as I expected us to be struggling for a starting eleven for Wednesday. With several others already out injured, we don't need any more.
