ABERDEEN FANS BEHAVIOUR SHOWS SECTARIANISM NO MONOPOLY OF OLD FIRM FANS

Celtic midfielder Neil Lennon was the subject of continuous sectarian taunts at Pittodrie on Monday evening and at one point an Union Jack was hurled at the player as he stood near the touchline in front of the Aberdeen fans.

Aberdeen fans like to boast of their Scottish nationalist leanings but Monday night would tend to suggest that there are those amongst the Aberdeen support who are intent on acting in as ridiculous a manner as some of those who follow football in Glasgow.

Throughout this season Lennon has been the subject of similar sort of abuse for no reasons other than the club he plays for and the country he represents.

Surely Aberdeen football club should take a stance against this behaviour and Identify the person who hurled the flag at Lennon, and ensure he is banned from Pittodrie for life.
