‘Green eyed’ Monsters want a Rail Link too!

With the news that Celtic Park is to have a Train link added prior to the Commonwealth games, our cousins from the South Side have decided that anything Timmy gets they should get too. Whilst acting like a petulant spoilt brats and pointing jealously appears to be the norm for the RST this press release is a new low.

The Rangers Supporters' Trust has today written to Ian Davidson, MP for South West Glasgow, seeking to work together and gather support for a railway link and station at Ibrox.

The recent successful bid to bring the Commonwealth Games to Glasgow has stimulated interesting discussions about improving transport links, infrastructure and regeneration across the city. The Board of the Trust strongly believes that the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) and city council should revisit an idea whose time has clearly come and having discussed this issue with Mr Davidson we are confident the local MP feels the same way.

The Trust believes that there is an obvious need to improve access to Ibrox for Rangers supporters on match days and Rangers supporters from everywhere will support the regeneration and improvement of the area around the Stadium and the subsequent benefits this will bring to the local community. We call on the Board of Rangers FC, local community leaders and politicians to support a rail link to both the city centre and airport and a railway station for Ibrox.

This is hilarious! Dear MP, those nasty Timmy’s are getting a train station, can we get one too? Give us a Rail Link to aid our early leavers to get home that bit quicker!

lol

The RST famously had to recall an article pressing their Club, the SFA and any other stakeholder unlucky enough to be on their mailing list to bring Artur Boruc to task for comments he was reported to have made after the last Derby game at Ibrox.

The Sun incorrectly translated an Interview with Bouc that stated the Polish keeper alleged that he was spat on by players and supporters of the Govan Shityard. The RST took the allegations printed in the sun as gospel and ran with their usual mode of perceived high horse pontificating.

It was later pointed out to them that not only was the article far from factual but Boruc had been mis-quoted entirely. This embarrassment was made worse by the fact that the person who corrected their gaffe was indeed a timposter! Lol

Yours in Celtic
