Spurs (H) Preview

Celtic v Tottenham Hotspur
Friendly
Tuesday 10th August 2004
Celtic Park
Kick Off 7.45pm

God only knows why Celtic feel the need to play another friendly. After four games in eight days in America, and a 2-1 win over newcastle at Parkhead, we finally got back to SPL business at the weekend, with a 2-0 win against Motherwell. Celtic are now into the swing of things, and along comes another friendly match, serving no purpose to anyone.

The game will be rubbish. It is included in the season ticket package so there will be more of a crowd than the Newcastle match. Celtic will field a team of fringe players, and Camara will start to try and bring in the punters.

The last thing we need is another dull friendly. Martin O'Neill should field a complete side of reserves, as friendlies against the likes of Spurs, after the season has started, are an irrelevance.

Hopefully there will be a strong crowd, but alot of it depends of whether people can be bothered getting out of the house on the night. And if the heavy rain continues, we will see Glasgow's lazy side.

Hail Hail!

Celtic-Mad Prediction: Celtic 1-0 Spurs
