Celtic enquire about Brazilian Denilson

Celtic have made contact with the Denilson's agents as his contract with Girondines finishes next month. Denilson's agent Antonio Barrera has stated that Celtic along with other clubs have contacted him about the player. Celtic knew before they enquired that the player would command a good pay structure but it is thought that he could be the "box office" signing that the club is looking for. Agent Barrera is aware that although Denilson is not playing at his best and is not at the mommt playing in a top club, he has drawn up a shortlist of clubs that would suit the player and Celtic are at the top of the list. Denilson wants to play in front of big crowds and wants champions league football, surely Celtic have more appeal than Girondines ?.The player and his agent have both said that they are not in a hurry to do a deal and that they will be waiting till the world cup is over because several of the interested clubs managers are unavailable till then. Celtic's enquiry was made back in July but Denilson and his agents stepped up a gear over the weekend by again letting Celtic know that the player is still available. Denilson had been previously reported as having signed for TWO other clubs but his agents have now came out and said that no contracts have been signed.
