Dunfermline 1-4 Celtic

An quality performance by Celtic today secured the 3 points at East End Park, closing the gap on the Huns to only 2 points.

With the manky mob travelling to Dens Park tomorrow, it was a great opportunity for the Celts to pile on the pressure, and mount up the goal difference.

Celtic were 3-0 up at half time, with 2 goals by Stan Petrov and 1 by Henrik Larsson - the Champions were a joy to watch.

The talk at half time was that Celtic should bang in a few more goals to put even more pressure on Rangers in the title run in.

Martin O'Neill looked to have set out his team to do so, but Jimmy Calderwood's Dunfermline had other ideas. Despite Alan Thompson slotting away his second penalty in successive weeks, The Pars never gave up in the second half and deserved the goal they got.

At the end of the day, delighted at getting the 3 points but feelings of dissapointment about the game today. We were well capable of scoring more than 4 goals today, and with Joos Valgaeren looking doubtfull for Wedesnday's game at Fir Park, things could have been better.

However, on the bright side, Celtic, in spells, played like Champions today, and if we keep it up, I am sure we will win the league.

Celtic:
Broto - 8
Valgaeren - 7 (Lambert) - 7
Laursen - 7
Mc Namara - 7
Balde - 7
Petrov - 9
Agathe - 7 (Fernandez 69) - 6
Thompson - 8
Lennon - 8 (Smith 80) - 6
Larsson - 8
Maloney - 8
