Dundee 1-1 Celtic

A dissapointing Celtic performance at Dens Park today let us drop another 2 points behind Rangers. An Alan Thompson header after 10 minutes was cancelled out by a Mark Burchill equaliser, 10 minutes later.

Celtic started with Xavier Sanchez Broto in goals for the injured Rab Douglas, a defence of Johan Mjallby, Bobo Balde and Stephen Crainey. Momo Sylla, Paul Lambert, Stan Petrov, Neil Lennon and Alan Thompson made up the midfield, and John Hartson partnered Henrik Larsson up-front.

Dundee's first half performance was atrocious, and Celtic failed to capatalise on this - only scoring one goal. A Momo Sylla cross was nodded across goal by Hartson, and Alan Thompson headed home.

A lucky run by Cabbelero brought a cross for Burchill, who walked past Stephen Crainey and equalised for Dundee 10 minutes later.

Celtic looked tired and unimaginative today, some of the players need to take a good look at themselves, none more than Stillian Petrov. The guy has been babbling on all weekend in the newspapers about leaving Celtic and moving to new clubs, but most teams wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. He looked unfit and bored today, and to be honest hasn't kicked a ball all season.  He missed an absoloute sitter in the first half, not having the ability to use his left foot to score.

In the end, Celtic were saved by goalkeeper Broto. He made 2 great saves in the second half, and alongside Johan Mjallby was Celtic's best player.

Our second half performance was very poor, even though Dundee played well.  John Hartson missed a good chance but Celtic failed to do any damage.

All in all, if we win our two games in hand, the gap is down to 2 points.  Then, it will come down to the last Old Firm game of the season at Ibrox.  Rangers must now be favourites for the title but it is surely not over.  All eyes are now on Boavista on Thursday night.
