Celtic 4-0 Aberdeen

A hat-trick from Henrik Larsson, added to by a Chris Sutton penalty sent Aberdeen home with no points once again from Celtic Park.

From the start it was clear there was going to be no hangover from Tuesday's game against Anderlecht, Henrik Larsson opened the scoring after only 4 minutes, latching onto a superb cross from Alan Thompson. Henrik should have made it 2 minutes later when the fantastic Liam Miller crossed, but the King of Kings could only put his shot wide.

Aberdeen looked threatening and attempted to find a goal, but it was clear that Celtic could just step up a gear whenever they felt like it.

With 28 minuttes gone, Henrik Larsson once again showed his true class. After Hartson was brought down outside the area, the Swede rifled home a magnificent free-kick.

Minutes later he attempted the same task, this time chipping the free kick, but it bounced straight back off the post.

Right on half time, Chris Sutton made it 3-0 from the penalty spot.

Nine minutes into the second half, Liam Miller made a terrific run down the left hand side, Larsson was there at the end of his cross to get his well deserved 15th hat-trick for Celtic.

Shaun Maloney and Michael Gray replaced Neil Lennon and Alan Thompson and the 2 substitutes added to Celtic's attacking spirit.

John Hartson had a few chances to take a goal but it wasn't to be his day.

With the huns dropping 2 points at Livvy this afternoon, Celtic are now 5 points ahead at the top of the SPL.
