Mark Wilson is hoping his injury hell is finally over.
Mark Wilson has been at Celtic for three years now and it's fair to say that the club's fans have yet to see the best of the young full back. His only first team action this year, in what has been another stop-start season for the unfortunate defender, was a cameo role in the CI Cup final at Hampden in March but he insists he's ready, willing and able to step back into the side at a moment's notice.

"I definitely do feel I'm ready." he said. "It happened in the cup final when I wasn't really expecting it. But I was there when the manager needed me. Although it was only 15 minutes it was great to be a part of it. So if it happens again, and someone gets injured or the manager asks me to play, I'm definitely ready."

Mark has the three SPL winners medals already and would love the opportunity to be part of the side that claims the title for the fourth year in succession. "The manager is going to need as many players as he can get," said Wilson, talking to Celtic TV. "So hopefully I'll get a chance in one of these games in the run in. If I don't, I'll still support the other players and be there when they need me. I'll be a good team-mate. That's what the manager likes about the squad."

"I've had quite a tough three years here at Celtic." continued Celtic's number 12. "I'll just have to keep my head up and try to get back to full fitness for the games coming up and get back to my best for next season. Every time I say I'm getting back to full fitness I get another injury which is unfortunate.

"But I can't help it." he said. "It's not as if I don't live my life the right way. I'm not a drinker, I don't go out partying or anything like that. I'm just unfortunate. But there are surely only so many injuries you can get and I'm hoping that's the end of it."
