Another 3 points, and another injury were the outcomes of Saturday's game against Partick Thistle at Firhill.

A poor performance by Celtic, but the victory was all we were really after.

Saturday's performance, compared to last Saturday's, against Dundee United, has prompted many fans to criticise midfield duo Neil Lennon and Paul Lambert. Liam Miller played against Dundee United, and as well all know, is prepared to attack and run at players. Neil Lennon and Paul Lambert play a totally different game. It may not be the most attractive of football, but if Martin O'Neill sees it right, I will be quite happy.

We have two games coming up this week. MTK hungaria arrive at Parkhead for the return leg of the Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night. This will be a formality, and we will see youngsters like Liam Miller, John Kennedy and Shaun Maloney getting a starting place. Unless we get beat 5-0, we are into the Champions League Group Stage.

Livingston come to Parkhead on Saturday, Livvy have yet to beat Celtic, although putting up some great performances against us.

On the injury front, Joos Valgaeren limped off at Thistle on Saturday, but his injury was not as bad as first feared. Joos will be out of Wednesday's game but will be available for Saturday. This is crucial, with Johan Mjallby out for 6 weeks.

John Hartson played 90 minutes for the Under 21's today, and will hopefully be back soon.

Goal of the Week: Paul Lambert v Partick Thistle.

Player of the Week: Jackie McNamara
