Transfer News At Last

It was a day of mixed results in the transfer market for Celtic yesterday, with Maciej 'Magic' Zurawski finally joining The Hoops and Craig Bellamy departing for Blackburn Rovers.

From what I have seen of Zurawski, the boy looks impressive, and I am sure most Celtic supporters are delighted that he has signed. He cost £2 Million and has signed for three years. He captained his former club Wisla Krakow and scored 24 goals in 25 games last season.

Craig Bellamy has signed for Blackburn Rovers, for a reported fee of £4 Million. Gordon Strachan claimed Celtic done everything they could to keep him, and credit to the club for doing so. However, one has to look at Bellamy's apparent lack of ambition. Why choose a mid-table Premiership club like Blackburn over Celtic and Champions League football?

Bellamy's move is disappointing but I am sure everyone connected with Celtic wishes him all the best in the future, and all the best in his Premiership relegation battle this season.
