Strachan Accepts Blame Ahead of Title Party as Dougall Prepares for Trip to Larkhall

Gordon Strachan has today presented a starkly honest opinion of the position we currently find ourselves in. In a frank and open statement Strachan states that whilst he cannot and will not point the finger of blame at any one entity, it is clear that failures have been made.

He said: "Everyone knows what the situation is.

"We are two points behind, we are looking to win a game and we are looking for help from somewhere else.

"We have nobody to blame bar ourselves. We understand that and we get on with it.

"We would like to have done better, we would rather be a few points ahead but that's the way it is and we are not making any excuses.

"On Sunday, we have one more chance to rectify that and to give it our best shot.

"If we are successful, fair enough, but if we are not then we have had a good bash at it."

When asked about potential recriminations Strachan declined to put anyones head (including his own) on the chopping block.

"We won't talk about that just now because then we would be talking about failings in my players and we never have hung anybody out to dry.

"We stay as a group, and what you do at the end of the season is sit down and analyse it, whether you win or lose.

"We did it when we won it.

"So we will look at what we could have done better and try and improve."

Meanwhile in other news, it has been revealed that Stuart Dougal, the MIB who opened the door to allow Majid Bougherra's red card be rescinded, will be the after dinner speaker at tonights Sportsman's Dinner at the Larkhall Lodge.

This is so predictable is could almost be funny, apart from the fact that this hands an advantage to our rivals.

Who knows though, maybe Karma (or Nakamura's dog) will bite him on the arse? Remember what happened the last time an outgoing referee colluded to give Rangers an advantage? Get it up you Tait!

Yours in Celtic
