Sorry Mr Stoichkov you can't have Petrov was the response by Gordon Strachan to the Bulgarian manager who wants his captain to play in an upcoming friendly, We have 25000 paying Celtic fans who are travelling to Manchester and they come first. Strachan will be applauded by the paying Celtic fans for his decision to keep his international stars at home but behind the scenes there is another reason for not letting his players get involved in meaningless Matches. Celtic is now big business, Players are no longer individuals but are seen as assets and you dont take the chance of losing one of them to injury. Gone are the days when an International call up was automatically granted by the clubs. Strachan was quoted as saying "Celtic come first" and I am sure the Celtic board will be delighted to hear that. What the players think however will be very different indeed. I wonder if Petrov, Nakamura, Marshall, McManus, and Maloney agree with the decision
