Samaras not giving up

SamarasGeorgios Samaras is not about to give up on challenging for the SPL title until it is mathematically impossible to overtake Rangers. Everybody knows just how hard the chase will be with the gap currently sitting at 13 points. Every game has to be won to stand a chance of overcoming the current leaders. However, Samaras is refusing to surrender and believes an extraordinary comeback is not out of the question.

He said:
"We'll keep going until the end of the season and you never know what will happen. We'll just keep our eyes on the points." There is the chance to cut the gap to 10 points if the Hoops beat St Johnstone on Saturday. Rangers will, however, have a league game in hand as they are playing in the
Co-operative Insurance Cup final on Sunday. Samaras, who scored the last time the sides met in January, believes another win this weekend could spark the kind of run that could put Rangers under pressure during the run-in. The Greek international said: "It's never an easy game against St Johnstone. We know it will be hard but we must go and win the game and get an unbeaten run going. You must be 100% professional to go and win the game and not give any chance to the other team to believe they can get something. I believe we can do that and take the three points."
