Ronnie Simpson RIP

Last updated : 20 April 2004 By Kevin Smith
Celtic legend Ronnie Simpson has died after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 73.

Simpson was Celtic's goalkeeper in Lisbon 1967, when the team won the European Cup. He was also recognised in Celtic's Greatest Ever Team recently.

A minute's silence should take lace before tomorrow night's game, and black armbands will be worn by the players.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ronnie's family.
