Reserve team clinch championship

Congratulations to the reserve team and Willie Mcstay who clinched the reserve league championship for an unparallel 6th title in a row.
The comment from the official site is as follows: -

WILLIE McStay's reserve side have clinched a sixth consecutive Reserve League title this afternoon after second-placed challengers, Dundee United, lost 1-0 against Falkirk.

The defending Reserve League champions have been in outstanding form this campaign, clocking-up 15 wins, one draw and just one defeat in their previous matches and had been aiming to clinch the title with a win away against Aberdeen in their next scheduled league game.

However, today's win for the Bairns against United has put McStay's men out of sight in the title race and handed them this season's championship.

Great news, maybe the old cliché of "maybe the reserves should get a run out now the league is won" should apply to the first team. They may make more of an impact at the moment than the currently underachieving seniors!

The youth set up at Celtic Park is already securing success in its own right, can you imagine the potential heights it could reach with John Park and the new training centre?

The future is bright, the future is green n' white!!

Yours in Celtic Reserves
