Deek looking to leave the club says agent

Celtic misfit Derek Riordan has instructed his agent to get him out of Celtic Park before the end of the transfer window it has emerged. Speaking yesterday the player’s representative Jim McArthur said; "Five clubs want Derek on loan, but if he's to go it must be on a permanent basis,"

Riordan has failed to hold down a position on the bench, never mind get a regular game and rumours of a fractious relationship between player and manager were rife. It is widely believed that Strachan is reluctant to play him due to his love of a good night out. Stories regarding Deek refusing to change his game to suit a starting position are also starting to come into the public domain.

Riordan was subject to a £400,000 bid from Burnley last week but the deal collapsed at the first hurdle due to Celtic viewing the bid as derisory. And McArthur confirmed that Riordan was interested; "Derek would be very keen to speak with them if an agreement was reached." He also hinted that Derek has been told that he has been told that he has no future at Celtic when he said, "I'm sure it would suit all parties if an agreement could be reached.

Best of luck Deek!

In other transfer news, it would appear that trying to sell the best right back in the universe out from the club against his wishes is the deal of the century. The Scottish Media would have us believe that this is the most impressive piece of business since Donald Trump bought eight brown envelopes from an Aberdeen Post Office, such has been the lack of criticism for selling a player when he doesn’t want to leave. However no criticism from the apologist media. This transfer is reminiscent of the Barry Ferguson transfer in 2004.

Speaking of deals of the century, the also non-maligned deal to sell a first choice striker to Fulham half way through a season when they are challenging on all fronts also seems to be above reproach! It was a good piece of business financially however, well that was until it was revealed that the deal contravenes Fifa regulations!!! MMMWWWHHHHAAHAHAHAH!

Apparently it is against regulations to play for three clubs in one season! So after turning out for both Lens and Rangers this season Cousin is ineligible to play for any club other than Rangers until the summer!

It would appear that they could appeal this decision to their advantage but I still couldn’t help having a wee chuckle!

Yours in Celtic
