Celtic held by Kilmarnock but retain six-point lead in the Premiership

The Glasgow giants saw their five-match winning run in the league come to an end at the hands of a side in the bottom half of the table, but they retained their six-point lead at the top as closest rivals Hearts also drew.

Hearts were pegged back by Dundee and had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.

Arnaud Djoum headed the hosts into a 24th-minute lead, only for Rory Loy to equalise in the 67th minute.

St Johnstone scored twice in the dying minutes of the first half to come from behind and win 2-1 at bottom side Dundee United.

The hosts led through Billy McKay's 33rd-minute header, but Christopher Kane nodded the leveller 10 minutes later and three minutes after that Murray Davidson got the winner.

Ross County ended their losing run with a 3-0 win at home to Motherwell, Craig Curran opening the scoring midway through the first half and Tony Dingwall doubling the lead halfway through the second.

Liam Boyce rounded off an emphatic win with an injury-time penalty.

Elsewhere, Partick Thistle won 2-1 at home to Inverness thanks to Ryan Stevenson's 90th-minute winner.

Miles Storey had put Caley Thistle ahead after only six minutes, with Kris Doolan levelling late in the first half
