Celtic Deny Kennedy is going to Motherwell on Loan.

Celtic have today denied reports that defender John Kennedy has joined Motherwell on loan. In a statement on the website the Club rubbished reports that JFK will move to Fir Park stating:

FOLLOWING a number of reports in the media today, Celtic Football Club would like to clarify that, contrary to these reports, there has been no agreement finalised between Celtic and Motherwell for John Kennedy to join the Fir Park club on loan.

There are, in fact, others clubs who have also expressed an interest in the Celtic defender
.

The Press must really hate Celtic these days, and long may it continue in my opinion. That will teach the hacks to confirm a story prior to going to print with it.

I for one am glad that Kennedy may not be joining Motherwell. I have nothing against the Steel men but why would anyone want to send a player who is struggling to get over injury to a stadium with a record for having a terrible pitch. I know that Motherwell have spent a lot of money on remedial works on the surface but any pitch that has been sunk below ground level to accommodate more seating is going to have problems with drainage, especially in the winter months.

I would like to see Kennedy go out on loan for the sake of his career, but if he doesn't choose carefully as to where he goes then it could cost him his career.

Yours in Celtic
