There had been many stories circulating, the word was that Celtic fans would be able to buy tickets for the UEFA Cup tie from Barcelona's ticket office. But those rumours were rubbished today by Barcelona.
In a statement from Celtic, they claimed that "in light of recent speculation regarding the sale of tickets in Barcelona to Celtic supporters, we have spoken to FC Barcelona and they have assured us that under no circumstances will they be selling tickets to Celtic supporters."
The statement does not say whether tickets will be for sale to Barcelona fans on the day.
Successful fans for Barcelona tickets were notified via post today.
