Hibernian v Celtic
Bank of Scotland SPL
Sunday 21st March 2004
Easter Road
Kick Off 1.15, Live on BBC Scotland

As I picked up my tickets for Sunday's game, I was thinking I must be going crazy. £24 for a ticket for Easter Road, along with Dundee away, Rangers and Teplice cup games and the forthcoming Barcelona trip, Ibrox and Hampden for the semi-final. When you take into account all the travelling expenses, and Celtic's "administration fee," it's been an expensive time to be a Celtic fan. However, I must say, I wouldn't have it any other way, and from what I've heard, The Bill isn't up to much these days anyway!

Expect to see a second string Celtic side against Hibs on Sunday. Playing guys like Larsson, Lennon and Thompson is just too much of a risk for Thursday night. Especially with the nutters in the Hibs team. We are currently 19 points clear in the SPL title race, so dropping points barely matters.

Stan Petrov should also be rested, as should Didier Agathe and Stephen Pearson. I think John Kennedy should play, to get him some match practise, as he is sure to start in the Nou Camp. David Marshall is looking comfortable in goals and will keep his place.

Hibs will feel confident as they knocked our fringe team out of the CIS cup earlier this season. I wonder how many of their 40,000 Cup Final fans will be at the game on Sunday?

I do not think Celtic's squad is big enough, or good enough. But we should be able to beat teams like Hibs. Hopefully the young Bhoys will look into the South Stand tomorrow, and put on a show for the Celtic support, who have spend hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds following them this season.

Hail Hail!

Celtic-Mad Prediction: Hibs 1-2 Celtic
