Dunfermline 0-0 Celtic

A poor display by Celtic and a gut-wrenching performance by Dunfermline made sure there was a share of the spoils today at East End Park.

The atmosphere was heated during the game, Dunfermline fans showing their true wittyness, singing "You didn't win f*ck all." Their boring chant was cancelled out seconds later with a comeback of "You've never won f*ck all!" How true!

Celtic had their chances, Johan Mjallby and Henrik Larsson should have netted a brace each, Larsson surprisingly throwing away two magical headers from a few yards out.

Dunfermline, however, showed their true hun loving spirit, this is practically the same team who lost SIX goals to Rangers on the final day of last season! It shows what we as Celtic supporters have to face this season, every team will defend with their backs to the wall, and push for a counter attacking break.

Didier Agathe today showed how lazy a player he is. Pars defender Chris McCroarty had him in his pocket for 89 minutes of the game - this is simply not good enough for a Celtic player. Also, Jamie Smith wasted 3 good chances at goal, going for glory instead of choosing an easier option. Shaun Maloney tried his heart out but these players simply do not impress week in, week out. Signings are needed, and they are needed quickly. I urge Martin O'Neill to sign Motherwell youngster James McFadden, to bring a bit of spark to the team.

Our defence looks terrible. Mjallby and Valgaeren will cost us games this season, no question about it. Liam Miller tried his best when coming on as a sub, and should be staking his claim for a startUntil something is done, we are not making any progress whatsoever. Celtic played today like several games last season - uninterested and unimaginative. I can only hope things will change for Wednesday night.

Celtic:
Douglas - 6
Mjallby - 6
Balde - 7
Valgaeren - 7
Lennon - 7 (Smith) - 4
Lambert - 7 (Miller) - 7
Thompson - 6
Agathe - 3
Petrov - 7
Maloney - 6
Larsson - 6
