Celtic v Dundee United
Bank Of Scotland SPL
Saturday 18th December 2004
Celtic Park
Kick Off 3pm

So Dundee United are the visitors for our final home game of the year 2004. Let's hope we can finish the home year with a bang.

During 2004, Dundee United have been one of the sides who have given us problems at Celtic Park. On May 16th, we beat them 2-1 in a narrow victory, which was of course, Henrik Larsson's final competitive game at Paradise. An emotional day for all.

This season, we faced United at Tannadice and won comfortably, by three goals to nil. More of the same tomorrow please.

Dundee United currently lie ninth in the SPL, and have been improving in recent weeks. It wasn't too long ago the scored a late equaliser to earn a draw at Ibrox, but some of their fans are calling for Ian McCall's head.

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing to be facing a team in times like these. They are all trying to fight to go higher up in the league, and it could be a tricky one. On the other hand, they are third bottom of the league, and if we can't beat a team at that level, at home, after a free midweek, then we seriously ought to chuck it.

Henri Camara is suspended for the game, and Stephen Pearson will join Didier Agathe in missing out another week. Last week I was calling for Juninho to be given a run in the team but I've all but given up on the guy. Aiden McGeady is obviously Martin O'Neill's preference and he will probably start again tomorrow.

Last week's win at Dunfermline saw us back to playing decent stuff in the league. We shouldn't have any problems tomorrow.

I look forward to seeing anyone who is coming along to the Come On The Hoops meet-up before the game.

Come On The Hoops!

Prediction:
Celtic 3-0 Dundee United
