Hoops Euro Convention ready to rock

Hoops in Europe again

Benidorm is ready to welcome at least 25000 Celts who are coming to the European convention later this month. Celtic supporters worldwide will be converging on Benidorm for a week long Celtic party which has been Orgsanised by the Benidorm CSC and the Celtic supporters association. There is a Celtic village set up which contains Fifteen bars bouncy castles for the kids,foodstalls and much much more, entry into the Celtic village is FREE at all times although there is a charge for entry into the Arena where top bands will be playing throughout the week, Daily tickets will be available at a cost of 20 Euros and the Arena will be restricted to 3000 people. Celtic fans have been taking the chance to organise family meetings at the convention and it looks as if the good name of Celtic and its supporters will once again be enhanced.



Tues 23rd May 2006.
6.00pm The village opens with a grand ceremony taking place at 9.00pm (official opening by Billy Mcneill).
10.00pm. Live Music with Benidorm's Irish Rovers and friends.
01:00am Celtic DJ

Weds 24th May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
3.00pm Grand paella party with guests from Villareal CSC.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
5 a sides (ongoing).
9pm. Live music in the Concert arena with Gary Og and the exiles. Support band Crooked Reel.
01:00am Celtic DJ

THURS 25TH May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
5 a sides (ongoing).
4.30pm. replay of the 1967 european cup final on the giant screen.
9.pm. Live music in the concert arena with the world's no.1 celtic band - Charlie and the bhoys. Support from Trisha Ferns.

FRI. 26TH May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
5 a sides (ongoing).
9.pm. Live music in the concert arena with Gary Og and the exiles. Support band Crooked Reel.

SAT. 27TH May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
Judging of the best Celtic Banner in Europe competition.
5 a sides (ongoing).
9.pm. Live music in the concert arena with Benidorm's Irish Rovers. Support from Trisha Ferns.

SUN. 28TH May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
9.pm. Live music in the concert arena with the world's no.1 celtic band - Charlie and the bhoys. Support from the Galway Gaels.

MON. 29TH May 2006.
12.00pm noon Village opens.
Live bands/musicians all afternoon in the Guinness tent with invited guests.
8.pm. Grand closing ceremony from the concert arena with a spectacular firework display followed by a MASSIVE celtic "Jam session" involving all the musicians from the week.
